ABOUT ME
I was afforded the opportunity to grow up in a small town in central Florida. After graduating high school, I was elected to sit on the Florida FFA Association's State Officer team for a one year term committment. During this time, I traveled across the state of Florida and the country to speak to students, educators, political figures, and community members about the importance of agriculture education, and research development, in the classroom and as a potential career. After retiring from this term I felt a calling to follow in my father and grandfather's footsteps by enlisting into the United States Military.

During 2013 I was called to serve my country overseas in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. It was during this time overseas that I was able to truly find myself, my calling, and my meaning in life. As the months overseas progressed I continued to feel this pull and desire to help others, particulary those who are injured. After returning home I spoke with my wife and told her that I would want nothing more than a career and education cange from Law Enforcement to Medicine, and to become a physician. So my family of three set out to move three hours north to Gainesville, Florida. In doing so, we hoped that we both could finish our undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees. We have definitely battled adversity and we have learned the definiton of resilience. However, here we are still standing, and each day is one day closer to OUR goals.

The United States Army enstilled in me a sense of pride, brotherhood, loyalty, duty, and selfless service that I hold true to this day. While serving in the capacity as a Military Policeman in the Florida Army National Guard, I also served as an active board member and firefighter in the Desoto City Fire Department. It was during this time that I began to develop a passion for helping others in need, and caring for the sick and injured. Some may call this seredipity, however, around this time I was blessed with meeting the woman I would soon fall in love with and marry a few years later. My amazing wife and best friend, Jennifer Marie. Not only was I blessed to have an amazing woman by my side, I was given two. My michievous partner in crime, Simone Alexis, she is an amazingly corky, sassy, intelligent little girl I would not trade for anything.
